Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 2 cups Apples, peeled and diced Fresh apples are recommended for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice Prevents apples from browning.

Crust

  • 1 package Refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash) Beaten for brushing on top.

Optional Topping

  • to taste Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine peeled and diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  • Roll out the refrigerated pie crust on a lightly floured surface and cut into circles (4 to 5 inches in diameter).
  • Place a tablespoon of apple mixture onto one half of each pie crust circle.
  • Fold and seal each pie by crimping the edges with fingers or a fork.

Cooking

  • Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each hand pie.
  • Place the hand pies in the air fryer basket in a single layer and air fry for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let the hand pies cool for a few minutes after cooking.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for a day or two. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain freshness.
