Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces small/medium apples (Gala recommended) Choose firm and sweet apples for best results.
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon, separated Adjust based on taste preference.
  • 1 tbsp canola oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp sugar Feel free to adjust sweetness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Remove the cores from the apples and slice them into 1/2 inch slices.
  • Toss the apple slices in the oil, vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F.
  • Add the apple slices to the air fryer basket, arranging them evenly with minimal overlapping.
  • Air fry for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Once cooked, transfer the apples to a bowl and toss them with the melted butter, remaining teaspoon of cinnamon, and sugar.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Best served warm. Can enjoy on their own or with a scoop of ice cream. Great topping for pancakes or oatmeal. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
