Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for crispy skin.
  • Set up three shallow bowls: flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the third.
  • Dip each chicken tender into flour, then eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.

Cooking

  • Arrange the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Lightly spray with cooking spray and air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Check for doneness with a meat thermometer; internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

Notes

For an extra crispy coating, consider double breading the chicken. Marinating in buttermilk before breading makes them tender. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
