Preparation

  • Season the chicken by placing skinless boneless chicken thighs in a large bowl and generously sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Add Italian seasoning, approximately 2 teaspoons, to the chicken thighs.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the seasoned chicken.
  • Squeeze in lime juice and mix until thoroughly combined.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  • Arrange the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Cook the chicken for 16 minutes.
  • Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; internal temperature should reach 165°F.
  • If necessary, cook for a few extra minutes, checking periodically.

Serving

  • Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Plate the chicken and serve with additional lime juice or your favorite sauce.

Notes

For crispier skin, pat the chicken dry before seasoning. You may also marinate chicken thighs prior to cooking for enhanced flavor. Refrigerate leftovers for up to three days.
