Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb 1 lb (about 10-12) chicken wings, tips removed and separated into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon baking powder For extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional) For a smoky flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or a light drizzle of oil To aid crispiness

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • In a large bowl, mix baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper.
  • Toss the wings in this mixture until they are evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the wings for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • You can spray them lightly with cooking spray halfway through to help crisp up the skin.
  • Remove the wings and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

Serving

  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy as-is.

Notes

These wings are best served hot out of the air fryer. They can be paired with dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or hot sauce. Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
