  • 2 slices Bread (whole grain or sourdough) Use your preferred type of bread.
  • 2 large Eggs Fresh eggs for best flavor.
  • 1 pinch Salt Essential for flavor.
  • 1 pinch Pepper Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter For a crispy exterior.

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Cheese Cheddar or any preferred cheese.
  • 1/2 cup Vegetables Sautéed spinach, diced tomatoes, or cooked mushrooms.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Use a round cutter or a simple glass to cut a hole in the center of each slice of bread.
  • Spread a thin layer of butter on both sides of each slice of bread.
  • Place the slices of bread in the air fryer basket, ensuring space for air circulation.
  • Crack an egg into the hole of each slice of bread.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of the eggs.

Cooking

  • Cook in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, checking for desired doneness after 6 minutes.
  • If using cheese or additional vegetables, add them during the last couple of minutes of cooking.
  • Carefully remove the toast from the air fryer and let cool for a minute before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a day. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispiness. Experiment with different types of bread and toppings for variety!
