Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 pieces russet potatoes or other types like Yukon Gold or sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon oil for coating the fries
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha additional Sriracha can be used for drizzling before serving
  • 1 pinch salt to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the potatoes into fries and soak them in a bowl of water for about 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°F (95°C) and line a baking sheet with paper towels. Place a wire rack over it.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Drain the fries and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Put the fries in a resealable plastic bag. Add the oil, 1 tablespoon of Sriracha, and salt. Seal the bag and shake it to coat the fries evenly.

Cooking

  • Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook them in batches until they are crispy and golden brown, about 13 minutes.
  • Transfer the cooked fries to the prepared baking sheet to keep warm in the oven.
  • Repeat with the remaining fries.

Serving

  • Finally, place the fries on a platter and drizzle them with any remaining Sriracha. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Soaking the fries is key for achieving that crispy texture. Experiment with the amount of Sriracha based on your spice preference. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for best results.
