Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the steak dry with paper towels to help the seasonings stick.
  • Generously season the steak with salt and black pepper. If desired, add garlic powder or fresh herbs.
  • Lightly coat the air fryer basket with olive oil or cooking spray.
  • Place the seasoned steak in the air fryer basket, ensuring it’s not crowded.

Cooking

  • Cook the steak for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; 130°F (54°C) is ideal for medium-rare.

Finishing Up

  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes on a cutting board to allow juices to redistribute.
  • Slice the steak against the grain and serve. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Let steak come to room temperature before cooking for even results. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
