Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the light brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Toss the chopped apples in 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and remaining granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Assembly

Glazing

  • In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve a drizzling consistency.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.

Serving

  • Slice and serve the Apple Fritter Bread as a delicious treat or dessert.

Notes

For best results, let the bread cool completely before adding the glaze. Can be served warm or with ice cream.
