Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Optional: add a pinch of allspice.
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup Applesauce
  • 4 Eggs Room temperature preferred.
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup Chopped pecans
  • 1 cup Chopped apples

Glaze (Optional)

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp Milk Adjust thickness as needed.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease the bundt pan with butter or non-stick spray and dust with flour.

Mixing Dry Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Whisk until evenly distributed.

Mixing Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, combine pumpkin puree, applesauce, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.

Combine Ingredients

  • Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold using a spatula.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans and chopped apples.

Baking

  • Carefully pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Glazing

  • To prepare the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Adjust thickness as needed.
  • Once the cake is cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.

Serving

  • Slice the cake and serve to your loved ones.

Notes

Don’t overmix the batter, and use room temperature eggs for best results. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to a week.
