Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Ingredients
  

Pasta and Dressing

  • 8 ounces small pasta shells About 2 cups
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 ounce package ranch seasoning 1-1 ounce package

Main Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon Cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes Halved
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese Shredded or cubed
  • 1 cup frozen peas Thawed
  • 2 pieces green onions Sliced
  • to taste crumbled croutons For topping (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Once cooked, remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

Mixing

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and ranch seasoning until well combined.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, crispy bacon, cherry tomatoes, peas, and cheddar cheese. Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and mix until everything is coated.

Chilling

  • Cover the salad and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Serving

  • Just before serving, sprinkle crouton crumbles and sliced green onions on top for extra crunch.

Notes

Best served cold. Pairs well with grilled meats or sandwiches. You can customize the salad by adding favorite veggies or proteins.
