Ingredients
  

Meatball Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs Can substitute with breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes.
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

BBQ Sauce Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, cracker crumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, and salt together.
  • Roll the mixture into 20 meatballs and place them on a rimmed baking sheet.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the ketchup, water, brown sugar, and nutmeg.
  • Pour this sauce over the meatballs, coating them well.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until the meatballs are no longer pink in the center.

Notes

These meatballs are great on their own or with toothpicks. Serve them over rice or in a bun for a fun sandwich! For a little kick, try adding some hot sauce to the BBQ sauce. You can make the meatballs ahead of time and store them in the fridge before baking.
