  • 3-4 large russet potatoes Choose large, firm potatoes for best texture.
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with other oils if necessary.
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated cheese will provide the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Optional seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Optional seasoning.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Wash and cut the potatoes into quarters.
  • In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, and any optional seasonings.

Baking

  • Spread the potato wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the cut potato wedges in cold water for 30 minutes before baking. Adjust seasonings to your taste. Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet for even cooking.
