  • 8 slices Bread (French or white)
  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp is preferred, but crab or imitation crab can be used.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Essential for flavoring.
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Can be substituted with Greek yogurt or cream cheese.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Adjust according to desired spiciness.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • Olive oil For brushing on bread.
  • Chopped parsley Optional garnish, as desired.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a food processor, combine the shrimp, garlic, mayonnaise, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, green onions, salt, and pepper. Pulse until smooth.
  • Cut the bread into halves or quarters.
  • Arrange the bread on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  • Spread the shrimp mixture generously over each slice.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 8-10 minutes.
