Zucchini Fries Ingredients

  • 2 medium medium zucchinis
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular) Panko breadcrumbs add extra crunch.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Add more for a cheesier flavor.
  • 1 egg Whisked for coating.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika for seasoning Customize with your preferred spices.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Cut the zucchinis into fries or sticks.
  • In a bowl, whisk the egg.
  • In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings.
  • Dip each zucchini stick into the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Arrange the coated zucchini fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.

Serving

  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Baked zucchini fries are best served hot right out of the oven. For leftovers, let them cool completely and store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results. Make sure to cut the zucchinis into even sticks for uniform baking.
