Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1.5 cups Crushed Nilla Wafers Essential for the base of the bars.
  • 5 tbsp Butter, melted To bind the crust together.
  • 2 tbsp Sugar For sweetness in the crust.
  • 1 pinch Sea salt Balances the sweetness.

For the filling

  • 1.5 blocks Cream cheese, softened Adds creaminess to the filling.
  • 0.5 cups Sugar For sweetness in the filling.
  • 1.5 cups Whipped topping Provides lightness and fluffiness.
  • 1 package Instant banana pudding mix For the banana flavor.
  • 1.75 cups Whole milk To mix with pudding.

For topping

  • 1.5 cups Whipped topping For serving.
  • 0.5 bananas Banana, sliced For garnish.
  • 9 pieces Nilla Wafers For garnish.

Instructions
 

Make the Crust

  • Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the crushed Nilla Wafers, melted butter, sugar, and sea salt.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Chill the crust in the freezer while preparing the filling.

Make the Cheesecake Filling

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until fluffy.
  • Add the sugar and beat until combined.
  • Fold in the whipped topping gently.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the instant banana pudding mix and whole milk, then let it sit for about 3 minutes.
  • Fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.

Assemble Your Bars

  • Pour the filling over the chilled crust and smooth it into an even layer.
  • Cover the pan and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Remove from the freezer, lift out using the parchment paper, and slice into squares.
  • Top each bar with a dollop of whipped topping, a slice of banana, and a Nilla Wafer before serving.

Notes

Make sure to let the bars sit at room temperature for a few minutes after taking them out of the freezer to soften before slicing.
