For the Salmon

  • 1.5 pounds salmon fillets Fresh, skin-off salmon works best; thaw if using frozen.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Helps to keep the salmon moist and adds flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds depth to the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Brings forward savory flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Provides a smoky essence.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Enhances flavors.
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper Adds a hint of spice.
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for heat.

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise Base for the sauce, provides creaminess.
  • 0.25 cup Thai sweet chili sauce Adds sweet and tangy flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce Adjust to spice preference.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Sweetens the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Brightens the flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, and lime juice. Set aside to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  • In a large bowl, combine the salmon pieces, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss well until the salmon is evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.

Cooking

  • Arrange the salmon pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy on the edges and cooked through.

Serving

  • Transfer the cooked salmon to a serving platter and drizzle with the Bang Bang sauce. Serve with remaining sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

For best results, use the freshest salmon and let it marinate in the spices for about 15 minutes. Pair with salads or rice for a complete meal.
