  • 1 cup Mushrooms Fresh mushrooms for an earthy flavor.
  • 1 cup Snow peas Adds crunch and color.
  • 1 can Water chestnuts Provides delightful crunch.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Low sodium is recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch Essential for thickening the sauce.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the beef into thin strips, about ¼ inch thick.
  • Chop all vegetables and prepare the sauce ingredients.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet or wok on medium-high heat and add oil.
  • Cook the sliced beef in the hot skillet until browned, about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms, snow peas, and water chestnuts; stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until veggies begin to soften.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, cornstarch, and minced garlic in a bowl.
  • Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serving

  • Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Marinate beef for 30 mins for extra flavor. Use fresh ingredients for the best texture. Avoid overcrowding the pan for better searing.
