  • 1.5 lbs Beef tips (cubed)
  • 1 cup Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)

Liquids and Seasonings

  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • To taste Salt and pepper

Thickening Agent (Optional)

  • 2 tablespoons Flour (optional, for thickening)

Cooking Fat

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

Preparation

  • Gather your ingredients and prep your workspace. Make sure your beef tips are cut into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the beef tips to the skillet, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add in the chopped onions, sliced mushrooms, and minced garlic. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the onions become translucent.
  • Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir gently to combine.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer, reduce the heat to low, and cover. Cook for 20-30 minutes.

Thickening and Serving

  • If a thicker gravy is desired, mix flour with cold water to make a slurry. Stir into the skillet while simmering.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes or rice, and optionally sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Notes

Choose high-quality beef for best results. Feel free to experiment with seasonings. This dish tastes even better the next day.
