Preparation

  • Chop the cabbage into thin slices.
  • Slice the onions.

Cooking

  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, keeping the drippings.
  • Melt the butter in the skillet with the bacon drippings.
  • Sauté the onions until golden and soft.
  • Add the chopped cabbage and stir well. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until tender but still crunchy.
  • Add the crumbled bacon, stir to combine, and season with salt.
  • Serve hot on a colorful platter.

Notes

For a colorful dish, mix green and purple cabbage. Add red pepper flakes for spice. Ensure the skillet is not overcrowded to avoid steaming.
