Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces croissants, halved Use fresh croissants for best flavor.
  • 8 oz ribeye or sirloin steak Any preferred type of steak can be used.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp black garlic paste Roasted garlic can be used as a substitute.
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced Other cheeses like gouda or cheddar can be used.
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped Adds freshness and color.

Instructions

Cooking the Steak

  • Season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a pan and sear the steak for 3–4 minutes on each side or until it reaches medium-rare. Let the steak rest, then slice it thinly.

Making the Garlic Butter

  • In the same pan, melt the butter and stir in the black garlic paste until well combined.

Toasting the Croissants

  • Lightly toast the croissant halves in a pan or toaster oven until golden.

Assembling the Melt

  • Layer the brie slices on the bottom halves of the croissants, add the warm steak, and drizzle with black garlic butter. Top with the croissant lids.

Melting the Cheese

  • Place the assembled croissants in a warm oven at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes until the cheese melts.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use fresh croissants from a bakery. Let the steak rest before slicing to keep it juicy. Don’t skip the parsley garnish; it adds freshness.
