Ingredients
  

For the Brownie Base

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Use quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Don’t overmix the batter.

For the Ganache

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Heat until just simmering.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate Can substitute with bittersweet chocolate for a richer taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  • Stir in the sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
  • Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  • Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about halfway.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Ganache Preparation

  • While the brownies are baking, prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream until it’s just simmering.
  • Pour it over the semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl and stir until smooth.

Assembly

  • Once the brownies are done, let them cool slightly, then make a small indentation in the center of each brownie and fill with ganache.
  • Let the ganache set before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Consider serving with vanilla ice cream or sprinkled with powdered sugar or cocoa powder. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for up to a week.
