Cheese Base

  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened, for a creamy base
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup Grated parmesan

Bruschetta Ingredients

  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes Let drain on paper towels before use
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup Chopped fresh basil Fresh basil enhances flavor

Final Touches

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • optional Diced sun-dried tomatoes For variations
  • optional Red pepper flakes For a little kick

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, and chopped basil.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes (make sure they are drained), olive oil, and minced garlic.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Blend until well mixed.
  • Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands or a spatula.
  • Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Serving

  • Once chilled, roll the cheese ball in additional chopped basil or parsley for coating.
  • Serve on a platter with crackers, crostini, or veggie sticks.

Notes

This cheese ball can be prepared up to 2 days in advance. Add fresh basil or parsley just before serving. For a creative twist, shape mini cheese balls for individual servings.
