  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Use freshly melted butter for the best flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Stir in the milk until just combined.
  • Pour the melted butter into a baking dish, then pour the biscuit dough over the butter.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a pat of butter or drizzle with honey. Pairs well with soups, stews, or can be enjoyed alone. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or freeze for a month.
