Ingredients
  

Shrimp and Seasoning

  • 1 lb Fresh large raw shrimp (or frozen and thawed) Make sure shrimp are deveined.
  • 2 tablespoons Grated Parmesan cheese Adds richness.
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Onion powder
  • 2 tsp Dried thyme Fresh thyme can be used for added flavor.
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Dried basil
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne pepper Increase for added heat.
  • ½ Juice of half a lemon To taste.
  • Lemon slices For serving.
  • Skewers Optional.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, grease it with cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients until well combined.
  • Transfer the seasoning mix into a large ziplock bag.
  • Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel and add them to the ziplock bag.
  • Seal the bag and shake gently to coat the shrimp with seasoning.
  • Remove the seasoned shrimp from the bag and arrange them on a plate.

Cooking

  • Place the shrimp on the heated grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp after grilling.
  • Serve immediately while warm, garnished with lemon slices.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in the seasoning for 30 minutes in the fridge before grilling. Adjust cayenne according to heat preference.
