Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta This is the heart of the dish. Fettuccine holds onto the creamy sauce well.

Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp make a significant difference. Try to source locally.

Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adds a beautiful kick and depth of flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Essential for sautéing the shrimp perfectly.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced The secret ingredient that enhances the flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Provides a luscious, creamy texture to the sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds rich, cheesy flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for enhancing all the flavors.
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped Adds freshness and a nice color.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Fill a large pot with water, bring it to a boil, and add a generous pinch of salt.
  • Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Sautéing the Shrimp

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Toss in the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet.

Preparing the Sauce

  • Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and fully combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combining

  • Add the cooked fettuccine and sautéed shrimp back into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Serving

  • Serve while warm in bowls or on plates.

Notes

For extra brightness, add a splash of lemon juice before serving. Marinate the shrimp in Cajun seasoning for 30 minutes for enhanced flavor.
