Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes Ribeye is preferred for tenderness and flavor.
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh shrimp adds delightful texture; frozen works too.
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided Can be store-bought or homemade.
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided Essential for searing.
  • 2 tbsp butter Adds richness to the dish.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Infuses the dish with aroma.
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced Adds color and sweetness.
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced Enhances depth of flavor.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Enhances natural flavors.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Adds freshness.
  • Lemon wedges (for serving) Enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, toss the steak cubes with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  • In another bowl, toss the shrimp with the remaining Cajun seasoning.

Cooking

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.
  • Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and toss in diced red bell pepper and sliced yellow onion. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet, combining everything and heating through.
  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Perfect for cozy dinners or entertaining. Adjust spice level to your preference. Let the meat rest for juiciness.
