Ingredients
  

Pecan Coating

  • 2 cups Pecan halves Use fresh pecans for best flavor
  • 1 cup Brown sugar Can substitute with coconut sugar for a different taste
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar Regular granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Ensure it's unsalted for better control of flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon Adds warmth to the flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Enhances sweetness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, unsalted butter, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir until the mixture starts bubbling.
  • Add the pecans to the bubbling mixture and stir to coat.
  • Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring once or twice, until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and let the pecans cool completely on the baking sheet.

Serving

  • Package in mason jars for gifting, if desired.
  • Serve as a snack or topping for salads and desserts.

Notes

Make sure the butter is unsalted to control saltiness. Watch closely while baking to prevent burning. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh for up to two weeks.
