  • 1 can (21 oz) Apple Pie Filling
  • 1 cup Salted Caramel Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (optional) Pecans or walnuts add a delightful crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grab a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the apple filling.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the yellow cake mix with melted butter and cinnamon, mixing until crumbly.
  • Evenly spread the cake mixture over the top of the apple filling and caramel layer.
  • If using chopped nuts, sprinkle them on top.
  • Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the cake mix.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  • Allow the dump cake to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream on top.

Notes

For a sweeter taste, add extra caramel sauce between layers. Consider mixing in fresh sliced apples for tartness, or add a pinch of nutmeg with the cinnamon for extra flavor.
