Ingredients
  

For the pie

  • 1 9-inch refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Plus extra for topping.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges nicely.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onions over medium heat until browned, draining any excess grease.
  • Stir in the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and mix in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly into the pie crust.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, then pour this mixture evenly over the beef layer in the pie.
  • Top with extra cheese for added flavor.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Allow it to cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing for the best results!

Notes

Serve warm, paired with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Offer condiments like ketchup and mustard on the side for an extra kick. For a veggie version, substitute ground beef with vegetables or a meat substitute.
