Ingredients
  

For the Casserole

  • 2 cans 8 oz crescent roll dough Use two cans of crescent roll dough.
  • 2 packages 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup sugar Granulated sugar.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Can be substituted for other extracts like lemon or almond.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter To drizzle over the top.
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for topping) To sprinkle over the top.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon For a delicious topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13” dish.
  • Lay one can of crescent dough in the dish, pressing seams together.
  • Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread this mixture over the dough.
  • Top with the second can of dough and pinch the edges to seal it well.
  • Drizzle the melted butter over the top, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Cut into squares and serve directly from the baking dish. A dusting of powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream enhances the experience.
