Ingredients
  

Burrito Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (1 oz)
  • 1/2 cup water

Burrito Assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas Warm the tortillas to prevent them from breaking.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) You can use any type of cheese you like.
  • 1 cup salsa

Optional Toppings

  • sour cream
  • chopped cilantro
  • jalapeños

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning and water; simmer for about 5 minutes.

Assembly & Baking

  • Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
  • Place about 1/4 of the beef mixture on each tortilla and top with shredded cheese.
  • Roll the tortillas tightly, then place them seam-side down in a baking dish.
  • Pour salsa over the top of the burritos and sprinkle with additional cheese if desired.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve hot with optional toppings.

Notes

These burritos can be enjoyed alone or paired with a side of chips and a fresh salad. If you have leftovers, let the burritos cool and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze them for up to 3 months.
