Preparation

  • Slightly flatten the center of each slice of bread using a spoon or your fingers to create a shallow well.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges, leaving space in the center.
  • Crack 1 egg into the center of each toast slice carefully.
  • Add salt, black pepper, and optional toppings (like chili flakes or herbs).

Cooking

  • Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper.
  • Place the prepared toasts inside.
  • Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 7–9 minutes, or until egg whites are set and yolks are cooked to your liking.

Serving

  • Serve warm with hot sauce, ketchup, or avocado slices.
  • For runny yolks, cook closer to 7 minutes.
  • Add pre-cooked bacon bits, chopped ham, or veggies under the cheese for extra flavor.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes until warm. Consider pairing with fresh fruit or a simple salad for a wholesome breakfast.
