  • 2 slices Bread (your choice) Sourdough or whole wheat works great.
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 4 slices Ham (diced or sliced)
  • 1 cup Cheese (cheddar or your favorite type, shredded)
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
  • enough to spread Butter (for toasting)
  • to taste Chives or Parsley (optional for garnish) They add color and flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Cooking

  • Toast the buttered bread in the skillet until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Add the ham to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes until heated through.
  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs with salt and pepper. Pour the eggs over the ham and stir gently to scramble for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the eggs and ham, allowing it to melt.

Assembly

  • Layer the cheesy ham and egg mixture on top of the toasted bread.
  • Garnish with chopped chives or parsley if desired.

Serving

  • Serve immediately while the cheese is melty and the toast is crispy.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Experiment by adding different vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
