Ingredients
  

For the casserole

  • 4 slices bread, cubed
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups zucchini, cubed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place the bread cubes in a medium bowl and pour the melted butter over the top.
  • Add the zucchini, onion, egg, and garlic salt; mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and top with cheese.

Baking

  • Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover the dish and bake for another 30 minutes.

Notes

Serve hot, right out of the oven. Pairs well with salad or grilled meats. You can sprinkle fresh herbs for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days, or freeze for longer storage.
