  • 1 package 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened Use softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup 1 cup powdered sugar Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tub 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping, thawed Can substitute with homemade whipped cream.
  • 1 can 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling Can use other fruit pie fillings.
  • 2 cups 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional) Add right before serving for crunch.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping, cherry pie filling, mini marshmallows, and chopped pecans.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Stir gently before serving leftovers.
