  • 1 cup Chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped maraschino cherries.
  • Using a heaping tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, ensuring enough space between them.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
