  • 1/4 cup butter, melted Adds richness to the dumplings.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  • Shred your chicken if not done yet.

Cooking Vegetables

  • Add mixed vegetables into boiling broth and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Preparing Dumplings

  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling batter into the boiling soup.

Simmering

  • Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Stir in the cooked, shredded chicken until warmed through.

Final Touch

  • Taste the soup and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

Use bone-in chicken for more flavor. Allow dumplings to simmer without lifting the lid. Consider adding hot sauce or cayenne for a kick.
