Ingredients
  

Noodles and Chicken

  • 8 oz Chow mein noodles Prepare according to package instructions.
  • 1 lb Chicken breasts Cut into small, even pieces for quicker cooking.

Vegetables and Flavorings

  • 2 cups Cabbage Shredded.
  • 1 cup Carrots Julienned or sliced.
  • 3 stalks Green onions Sliced.
  • 3 tbls Soy sauce For seasoning.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 inch Ginger Grated.

Cooking Essentials

  • 2 tbls Sesame oil For cooking.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Noodles

  • Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Chicken and Vegetables

  • In a large pan, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add diced chicken breasts and cook until golden brown.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for 1 minute.
  • Stir in cabbage, carrots, and sliced green onions; cook for about 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  • Add cooked noodles and soy sauce; toss to combine.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Serve Chicken Chow Mein hot on a plate. Garnish with extra green onions or sesame seeds. Pairs well with steamed rice or a light salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat gently before serving.
