  • 8 oz Egg Noodles
  • 2 cups Cooked Chicken, shredded Leftover roast chicken or rotisserie chicken works well.
  • 1 cup Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Reserve some for topping.
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Peas (optional) Adds sweetness and color.
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • Salt and Pepper To taste
  • Breadcrumbs (for topping, optional) For a crunchy texture.

Optional Ingredients

  • Fresh herbs like rosemary Enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Boil a pot of salted water and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
  • Fold in the shredded chicken.
  • Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper; mix well.
  • Add the drained egg noodles and gently stir until they're coated in the sauce.
  • If using, toss in the frozen peas.

Cooking

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Top with remaining shredded cheddar cheese and optional breadcrumbs.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy topping, broil for the last 2-3 minutes. Experiment with different cheeses for variety.
