Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 piece Rotisserie chicken (shredded)
  • 12 ounces Cheese tortellini refrigerated or frozen
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions, typically 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and let it come to a gentle simmer, avoiding a vigorous boil.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is completely smooth.
  • Add the shredded rotisserie chicken and cooked tortellini to the skillet, tossing gently in the creamy sauce until well coated.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust to your preference.
  • Plate the dish hot, garnishing with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or subbing some heavy cream with half and half for a lighter option. Fresh spinach or sun-dried tomatoes can also elevate this dish.
