Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1 cup pecans, crushed
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

For the filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 container Cool Whip

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the crushed pecans, flour, and melted butter together.
  • Press this mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 15 minutes and then let it cool.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Spread this mixture over the cooled crust.
  • In another bowl, whisk the milk and chocolate pudding mix together until thick.
  • Spread this pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  • Finally, top the dessert with Cool Whip.
  • Chill it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator. Cover the dish with plastic wrap or foil to keep it fresh. Best eaten within a few days, but can be stored for up to a week. For variations, consider adding layers of banana slices or strawberries for added flavor and texture.
