  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional) Use if bananas aren't super ripe.
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances all the flavors.
  • 0.5 cups ice Gives the smoothie a refreshing chill.

Toppings

  • Chocolate chips and banana slices For topping the smoothies.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients on the counter.
  • Peel the bananas and slice them into chunks.
  • In a blender, add chunked bananas, peanut butter, milk, cocoa powder, honey (if using), vanilla extract, and ice.
  • Blend until everything is smooth and creamy.
  • Taste the smoothie and add more honey if you'd like it sweeter.
  • Drizzle peanut butter around the rim of each glass.
  • Pour the smoothie into glasses.
  • Top with chocolate chips and banana slices.

Notes

Always use ripe bananas for sweetness and creaminess. You can substitute with nut butters or add chocolate protein powder for variation. If you have leftovers, freeze them for later as pops!
