For the mixture

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Use creamy for a smoother texture.
  • 3 tbsp butter (softened) Make sure it is softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 tsp vanilla For added flavor.
  • 1 cup Rice Krispies The main crunchy ingredient.
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans Adjust based on taste preferences.
  • 1 cup shredded coconut Adds sweetness and texture.

For the chocolate coating

  • 1 package chocolate chips Use any variety of your choice.
  • 1 square sweet chocolate For a rich chocolate flavor.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, softened butter, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  • Stir in the Rice Krispies, chopped pecans, and shredded coconut until well combined.
  • Take small portions of the mixture and form them into bite-sized balls.
  • Place the balls on a tray and chill them in the refrigerator until firm.

Coating

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips along with the sweet chocolate until smooth.
  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and coat them evenly.
  • Place the dipped balls back on the tray and add some festive sprinkles on top.
  • Chill again until the chocolate is set.

Notes

Store the Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months with parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking. Consider adding mini marshmallows or dried fruits for a unique twist.
