  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the flavors.
  • salt and pepper to taste salt and pepper Essential seasoning.

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked sausage or bacon, crumbled Optional; adds heartiness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Whisk until frothy.
  • Stir in cheese, bell peppers, onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. If using, add sausage or bacon.
  • Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  • Pour the egg mixture into the baking dish, spreading evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until set and golden-brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Experiment with adding jalapeños for spice. For extra fluffiness, separate yolks from whites, beat whites until stiff, then fold them in.
