Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (softened) Fresh butter is recommended for rich flavor.
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large Eggs Room temperature recommended.
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract

Mix-Ins

  • 2 cups Chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Holiday sprinkles Add more for festive flair!

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips and holiday sprinkles.

Baking

  • Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop generous spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  • Bake for about 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  • If desired, add more sprinkles on top while still warm.

Notes

For thicker cookies, consider chilling the dough for 30-60 minutes before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
