Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted) Make sure it's not too hot to avoid scrambling the eggs.
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Can be swapped for almond extract for a unique twist.

Coating

  • 1/2 cup Coating sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Coating cinnamon

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Gently stir until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Baking

  • Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  • Check for doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center—if it comes out clean, it's done.

Coating & Serving

  • While your bread is baking, mix together the coating sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Once the bread is baked, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  • Carefully remove it from the pan and cool on a wire rack.
  • While still warm, generously coat the bread with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Slice and serve.
  • Enjoy the warm goodness!

Notes

Check for doneness with a toothpick! Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or in the fridge for up to a week. Freezing slices for up to 3 months is also possible. Reheat slices in the microwave.
