  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon salt Balances all the sweet flavors.
  • 1 cup 1 cup pecan halves The star of the show! Use fresh pecans for a classic crunch.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  • Fold in the pecan halves gently.
  • Pour the mixture into your prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Place your pie in the oven and bake for about 60 minutes until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.

Cooling and Serving

  • Once baked, take the pie out and let it cool for at least two hours.
  • Slice and serve preferably with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Use fresh pecans for the best flavor. Do not skimp on cooling time as it allows the pie to set properly.
