Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Pecans Chopped or whole, based on preference.
  • 3 large Eggs Should be at room temperature for best results.
  • 1 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 cup Sugar Can substitute with light brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
  • 0.5 cups Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Adds a comforting flavor.

For the Crust

  • 1 piece Unbaked Pie Crust Can be homemade or store-bought.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until fluffy.

Mixing the Filling

  • Add in the corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the whisked eggs.
  • Gently stir to combine.

Assembling the Pie

  • Fold in the pecans gently.
  • Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.

Baking

  • Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 60-70 minutes.
  • The edges should begin to set while the center remains slightly jiggly.

Cooling

  • Let the pie cool for at least two hours before serving.

Notes

Always use room temperature ingredients for best results. Brush the crust with an egg wash for a crispier finish. Best served with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
