Ingredients
  

Vegetables

  • 1 large Onion, diced
  • 2 stalks Celery, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pork sausage Use good quality sausage for better flavor.
  • 1 medium Apple, peeled and diced Adds a hint of sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh sage, chopped Use fresh for the best flavor.

Base Ingredients

  • 4 cups Bread cubes
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Prepping the Ingredients

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, add your pork sausage and cook it over medium heat until browned.
  • Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion, chopped celery, and minced garlic for 5-7 minutes until the onions are translucent.

Mixing It All Together

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage and sautéed vegetables.
  • Add the diced apple and fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, and sage).
  • Gently fold in the bread cubes and pour in the chicken broth gradually, stirring until the bread is moistened.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Baking Your Stuffing

  • Transfer the stuffing mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow the stuffing to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispier top, uncover the baking dish for the last 10 minutes of baking. You can prepare this stuffing ahead of time and bake it before your meal.
